(Aviation and Astronautics), monthly magazine of the Soviet Air Force. Published since 1918, it was issued under the title Vestnik vozdush-nogo flota (Air Force Courier) up to 1962. The magazine depicts the life and training of Soviet pilots and cosmonauts and the achievements and future prospects of aviation and astronautical technology. It carries articles on the heroic past of aviation, the military and patriotic training of aviators, socialist competition, and the foremost experiments in the assimilation and military application of aviation technology.
