Avoca

Avoca or Ovoca (əvō`kə), river, c.15 mi (24 km) long, formed by the union of the Avonmore and Avonbeg rivers, in Co. Wicklow, E Republic of Ireland. It flows SE to the Irish Sea at Arklow. The river is celebrated by Thomas Moore Moore, Thomas, 1779–1852, Irish poet, b. Dublin. He achieved prominence in his day not only for his poetry but also for his love of Ireland and personal charm. A lawyer, he was for a time registrar of the admiralty court in Bermuda.

Random I know but I spotted the mincey, chintzy Avoca shop on Arthur Street where every item in the window is a must-have.
Among the items on display were slate and copper work, Gemwaith Rhiannon, jewellery from Tregaron, clothes by Avoca from Ireland, and enamel paintings by artist Karen Jones, and craft paper made from sheep droppings
