Ovoca: see Avoca Avoca or Ovoca , river, c.15 mi (24 km) long, formed by the union of the Avonmore and Avonbeg rivers, in Co. Wicklow, E Republic of Ireland. It flows SE to the Irish Sea at Arklow. The river is celebrated by Thomas Moore's poem "Meeting of the Waters."

The couple met in Avoca, County Wicklow, five years ago on the set of the first series of the BBC1 drama.
