Böðhvarsson, Gudmundur
Born Sept. 1, 1904, in Kirkjuból, in Hvítársída. Icelandic poet. Böð varsson began to write in the 1930’s. In the collections The Sun Kissed Me (1936) and Evening Elves (1941), Böð5 varsson appears as a celebrant of nature. Many poems in the collections White Ships (1939) and Under Midnight Skies (1944) were inspired by the Spanish Civil War and World War II. He is the author of the books My God and Yours (1960), Grain of Salt in the Earth (1962), and Footprints in the Storm (1965). REFERENCESAndrésson, K. E.
