BICSI
(Building Industry Consulting Service International, Tampa, FL, www.bicsi.org) An international telecommunications association providing education, registration and resources for professionals involved in the design and installation of low-voltage distribution systems in commercial and residential buildings as well as outside plant systems.

BICSI publishes technical manuals and offers classroom and distance learning and educational conferences. The Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD) and Installation Registration programs provide professional designations for applicants who demonstrate superior qualifications.

So it was of great interest when we attended the BICSI winter conference and exhibition in Orlando to see how the cabling segment was faring in today's economic situation.
lt;p>Primarily, the conference is held each year to support the hundreds of BICSI members and BICSI educated professionals, such as RCDD's that we already have in the region.
The CEUs will support the renewal of various industry certifications, including BICSI, ASIS International, NTS/NBFAA, and NICET, and help ensure that dealers and end-users have up-to-date training for the latest video surveillance technologies.
