BPSS(1) (Business Process Specification Schema) A subset of the UN/CEFACT Modeling Methodology (UMM) that is used to develop ebXML software. The UMM is used to model business processes and information, but is too generic to be evaluated by ebXML-compliant software. The BPSS provides a bridge from UMM to specifying ebXML programs. | BOSTON -- OASIS, the international standards consortium, today announced that its members have approved the ebXML Business Process Specification Schema (ebXML BPSS or ebBP) version 2. Moreover, the engine uses the powerful, native jBPM Process Definition Language (JPDL), which was designed from the ground up with the ability to support any standard or specification that exists today or may emerge, including BPEL, BPELJ, BPML, BPSS, ebXML, WSCI and XPDL. The newly formed OASIS ebXML Business Process (BP) Technical Committee will further define the royalty-free ebXML BPSS model for binary and multiparty business collaborations both within and between enterprises. |
