BTP

(Business Transaction Protocol) An XML-based protocol from OASIS that adds the type of validation to transactions in a Web services environment that are normally performed by the two-phase commit within an enterprise. BTP is not designed to be a stand-alone protocol, but to integrate "confirm" and "cancel" operations into existing protocols. See two-phase commit and OASIS.
