Bahr, Hermann (hĕr`män bär), 1863–1934, Austrian dramatist and critic. His essay Zur Kritik der Moderne (1890) established modernism as a literary term, and his study Expressionismus (1916, tr. 1925) defined that literary trend. Bahr's plays include the comedies Das Konzert (1909, tr. 1910) and Der Meister (1914, tr. 1918). How to thank TFD for its existence?
