Baimak 

a city, center of Baimak Raion in Bashkir ASSR. Baimak is located on the spurs of the Irendyk Ridge on the upper course of the Tanalyk River (Ural basin), 35 km southwest of the Sibai railroad station (the terminal station of the branch from Magnitogorsk). The population is 13,000 (1967). In 1913 a copper-smelting plant was built there; it was reequipped in 1957 as a machine-building plant to produce spare parts for mining equipment. A meat combine and a creamery are located in Baimak. The city was formed in 1938.
