Out of Place: Memories of Edward Said," a feature-length documentary by Makoto Sato examining the intellectual legacy of the author, critic, educator and political activist, with music by Daniel Barenboim, will open Oct. The orchestra was founded in 1999 by Daniel Barenboim, an Israeli conductor, and the late Edward Said, a Palestinian writer. There Meese performed three shows in March, with music piped in live from the new Eichinger and Barenboim production of Parsifal, which was playing simultaneously in the Staatsoper's main auditorium. |
