Barito

Barito (bärē`tō), river, c.550 mi (890 km) long, rising in the mountains of central Borneo, Indonesia, and flowing generally S to the Java Sea. Banjarmasin is the head of oceangoing navigation. The wide floodplain of the lower Barito is intensely cultivated and contains one of Indonesia's largest rubber plantations.

The most westerly block lies along the eastern flank of the Barito River where some alluvials were identified as being gold bearing.
The Muya structure is located in the Barito Basin, 20 km to the northeast of the Tanjung Oil Field which has produced more than 100 MMBO cumulative.
