It involved simultaneous molding of three oddly shaped gears--one triangle, one square, and one oval--of DuPont's Delrin acetal and assembling them precisely with snap fits on a base plate so the three gears would intermesh smoothly.
In accordance with ISO standard 15407-2, the simultaneous pneumatic and electrical connection for the valve is done on the base plate.
Wendt custom manufactured the "drop-in" replacement 98x104 shredder that will provide several features found in the recently introduced Heavy line of auto shredders, including a drop-in front wall, deflector top and grates that are fully supported to the base plate.
