Baunsgård, Hilmar (hĭl`mər bouns`gôr), 1920–90. Danish politician. A businessman, he was president of the youth organization of the Social-Liberal party (1948–50) and a member of the executive of the Social-Liberal party (1948–57), serving (1954–57) as its vice president. He was elected to parliament in 1957. From 1961 to 1964, Baunsgård headed the ministry of commerce.
