Bazorkin, Idris Murtuzovich 

Born June 6,1911, in the village of Bazorkino, in the present-day Chechen-Ingush ASSR. A Soviet Ingush writer; a teacher by profession.

Bazorkin, who writes primarily in Russian, was first published in 1928. He is the author of the plays At Dawn (1934), which deals with the participation of the Chechen and Ingush peoples in the Civil War, Tamara (1938), concerning the holdover of old attitudes toward mountain women, and The Birth of Hate (1942). His plays Captain Ibragimov, During These Days, and The Operation (1949) are devoted to heroes of the Great Patriotic War. He has also written short stories, the novellas The Call (1962) and Labor and Roses (1959), and the novel From the Dark Ages (1968).
