Bear Brook State Park

Location: Off NH Route 28.
Facilities: Campground is remotely located in the park (5 miles from day-use area, on Beaver Pond) and has: 95 campsites (no hookups), showers, camp store, and a small beach reserved for campers only. Park also offers: picnic area, group picnic shelter, trails (40 miles), 1.25-mile fitness course, canoe and rowboat rentals, playground, 2 archery ranges, ballfield, horseshoe area, 4-H camp, museum complex, nature center.
Activities: Camping, boating (non-motorized only), fishing (including fly fishing), swimming, hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, interpretive programs, snowmobiling, cross-country skiing.
Special Features: Bear Brook is the largest developed state park in New Hampshire. It features a museum complex that includes three museums, a nature center, and a historic meeting house (open during the summer).

The larger of two 4-H Camps in New Hampshire, Bear Hill consists of 55 buildings located on 180 acres inside Bear Brook State Park in Allenstown.
Bear Brook State Park & Pawtuckaway State Park It's incredible that a state park of 10,000 acres with 40 miles of trails is less than 10 miles from downtown Concord.
