Beaver Island State Park


Location:Off I-190, 9 miles north of Buffalo, on Grand Island.
Facilities:Picnic areas, picnic pavilions (é), playgrounds, food concession, bike and nature trails, 18-hole golf course, disc golf course (18-hole), horseshoe pits, athletic fields, beach with bathhouse, 80-slip marina, historic home.
Activities:Boating, fishing, swimming, bicycling, golf, cross-country skiing, snowmobiling, snowshoeing, sledding, ice fishing, hunting, recreation programs (é).
Special Features:Park is located at the south end of Grand Island in the Niagara River and is considered one of the best beaches in the area. A historic home that was once President Grover Cleveland's summer home is located at the park. The Beaver Island Clubhouse has banquet and catering facilities.
