Location:Southwestern Montana. Accessible by US 10A; MT 38, MT 43 and MT 278. Nearby cities/towns include Anaconda, Butte, Deer Lodge, Dillon, Philipsburg, Jackson, Sheridan, and Wisdom.
Facilities:27 cabins, 50 campgrounds, dispersed camping, picnic sites, trails (2,750 miles), boat launch, scenic drives, ghost towns.
Activities:Camping, hunting, fishing, boating, swimming, hiking, horseback riding, downhill and cross-country skiing.
Special Features:Anaconda Pintlar Wilderness Area; segments of Continental Divide National Scenic Trail and Nez Perce Historic Trail; ghost towns including Elkhorn and Coolidge; Sheepshead Mountain Recreation Area, one of the nation's premier handicapped-accessible outdoor recreation sites.
