A University of Adelaide study has found that children and young people in home-based foster care experience a higher rate of mental health and behavioural problems than their counterparts in the general community.
While mobility might at first glance suggest students move from school to school as families move from city to city or state to state for employment purposes, Sorin and Iloste's research indicates that student mobility is a complex issue to do with family breakdown, cultural and family ties, and behavioural problems, and that piecemeal strategies that rely on the goodwill of teachers are likely to be inadequate.
studies, that the quality of parenting among lower income and other disadvantage groups is poorer and that early childhood programs have made a considerable difference, improving the school performance and reducing behavioural problems.
