Belding, Don (1898–1969) advertising executive; born in Grants Pass, Ore. He worked in the Los Angeles branch of the advertising agency Lord and Thomas (1923–42), which, with Emerson Foote and Fax Cone, he took over and renamed Foote, Cone and Belding (1942). He retired as chairman of this major international advertising agency in 1957.
