Belin, David (William) (1928–  ) lawyer; born in Washington, D.C. Partner in Iowa law firms since 1955, he was counsel to the Warren Commission (on the assassination of President Kennedy) (1964) and led the Rockefeller Commission (on CIA activities) (1975). His books include November 22, 1963: You Are the Jury (1973) and Creative Estate Planning (1990), but he was best known for his defense of the Warren Commission's finding that Lee Harvey Oswald was the lone assassin of Kennedy, a view Belin reiterated in Final Disclosure (1988).
