Belvidere

Belvidere (bĕl`vĭdēr'), city (1990 pop. 15,958), seat of Boone co., N Ill., on the Kishwaukee River; inc. 1847. It is a farm trade center. Manufactures include insulating parts, salon equipment, ice cream, and fabricated metal products.
