Bennis, Warren (Gamaliel) (1925– ) psychologist, management educator, consultant; born in New York City. Trained as an economist, he had a varied academic career (including the presidency of the University of Cincinnati (1971–77) before joining the University of Southern California's management faculty (1980). He became well known as a consultant to major corporations. He developed behaviorist-based management theories in his numerous books on leadership and organizational development and change.
