Benson State Recreation Area Location: Off I-84 (eastbound access only from Exit 30), 30 miles east of Portland. Facilities: Picnic area, group shelter, restrooms, disc golf course. Activities: Boating, fishing, swimming, disc golf. Special Features: Park features an annual Free Fishing Day (first weekend in June); anyone can bring a pole (or use provided equipment) to try and catch some of the thousands of rainbow trout with which the lake is stocked.
