anthropometry (ănthrəpŏm`ətrē), technique of measuring the human body in terms of dimensions, proportions, and ratios such as those provided by the cephalic index cephalic index (səfăl`ĭk) [Gr. kephale=head], ratio of the breadth of the head to its length.
