Bethpage State Park Location: East on the Long Island Expressway (Route 495) to Exit 44S, then south on the Seaford/Oyster Bay Expressway (Rout 135) to Powell Avenue Exit 8 and east to the park. Facilities: 5 18-hole golf courses (@ di), driving range, pro shop, restaurant (é), picnic areas (é), playgrounds (é), playing fields, tennis courts, hiking and biking (é) trails, nature trail, bridle path, cross-country skiing trails, showers (é). Activities: Golf, tennis, hiking, bicycling, horseback riding, cross-country skiing, sledding, recreation programs. Special Features: Park is best known for its 5 world-class golf courses, including the Black Course, which hosted the US Open in 2002 and will again in 2009. Park also has a polo field where matches are played on Sundays from June through October.
