Big Bend of the Colorado State Recreation Area


Location:5 miles south of Laughlin on the Needles Highway.
Facilities:Under development; some self-contained RV campsites, showers, picnic areas with shade.
Activities:Camping, boating, fishing, swimming, hiking.
Special Features:Nevada's newest state park is located at the southern tip of the state along the shore of the Colorado River, with dramatic views of the river and surrounding mountains. Summer temperatures here can reach 120°F; winters are very mild, with temperatures rarely dipping below freezing.
