Steatopygia

the pronounced development of the subcutaneous fatty layer of the buttocks in humans, in the area of the gluteus maximus. Steatopygia is most common in the women of some South African peoples, mainly the Bushmen and Hottentots. These peoples and the Zulus consider it to be a sign of beauty. The cause has not been conclusively determined.
