Facilities: Picnic areas, open picnic shelters (é), paved multi-use trail (26 miles), snowmobile trails (13 miles), swimming beach, 5 boat ramps, boat rentals, jetty, fishing pier (é), dry dock storage, playground (é), multi-purpose sports field, food concession. Activities: Swimming, lake fishing, boating, sailing, hiking, bicycling, cross-country skiing, snowmobiling, hunting (with restrictions). Special Features: Park's 866-acre Big Creek Lake was created as part of the Saylorville project to protect Polk City from floods, but it also provides a wide variety of recreation. The fishing here is excellent year round.
