Big Ridge State Park

Location: On the southern shore of Norris Reservoir, approximately 25 miles north of Knoxville.
Facilities: 50 campsites, group camp, backcountry campsites, 19 cabins, bathhouses, picnic areas, snack bar, hiking trails, boat rentals, boat launch, dock, recreation hall, game courts, playground, gift shop, laundry.
Activities: Camping, swimming, boating, water-skiing, fishing, hiking, biking, tennis, interpretive programs.
Special Features: This heavily forested park lies along the southern shore of the Tennessee Valley Authority's Norris Reservoir. The park was one of five demonstration parks developed by the TVA, and remnants of the homes and farms that existed here before that can still be seen along the trails.
