Biktemirov, Shaukat Khasanovich
Born Oct. 28, 1928, in Kazan. Soviet Tatar actor. People’s Artist of the USSR (1977). Member of the CPSU since 1958. Biktemirov graduated from the Kazan Theatrical School in 1949. He performed at the G. Kamal Tatar Academic Theater from 1949 to 1951 and rejoined the theater in 1953. His roles have included Tagir in Amir’s Freedom, Islam in Khusainov’s Mama Has Arrived, Lukman in Valeev’s Through Defeat, Farkhad in Jamal’s Fatima Sabri, and Dul’chin in Ostrovskii’s The Ultimate Sacrifice. He has also portrayed V. I. Lenin in Pogodin’s Third Pathétique. He was a deputy to the ninth convocation of the Supreme Soviet of the Tatar ASSR. Biktemirov received the Tukai State Prize of the Tatar ASSR in 1967 and the K. S. Stanislavsky State Prize of the RSFSR in 1979. Want to thank TFD for its existence?
