Bilac, Olavo (lä`v bēläk`), 1865–1918, Brazilian poet, journalist, and critic. He was the chief poet of the Brazilian group related to the French Parnassians Parnassians (pärnăs`ēənz), group of 19th-century French poets, so called from their journal the Parnasse contemporain.
