an urban-type settlement in the Azerbaijan SSR; part of the Kirov Raion of the city of Baku. Population, 12,700 (1968). Petroleum is extracted there. It has machine-building, mechanical, steel-casting, reinforced-concrete articles, and sawmill plants.
