Bisharin
also Besarin, and Bisariab, one of the Beja group of tribes in Africa. They lead a nomadic existence in the Nubian Desert from the Red Sea to the banks of the Nile in the Sudan. Population, approximately 170,000 (1965 estimate). They are divided into the tribes of the Atbai, Atbara, and others. The language of the Bisharin is one of the Cushite languages.
