Black Box Corporation
(Black Box Corporation, Lawrence, PA, www.blackbox.com) An organization that specializes in selling communications and LAN products. It offers expert services, custom solutions and hard-to-find products. It also provides free, 24-hour tech support. The company's original name was Expandor, Inc., and it offered manual printer switches known as "black boxes." Its catalog was eventually named the Black Box Catalog, and later the company changed its name. By 2005, the company offered more than 100,000 products for sale. See black box.
