Activities: Camping, boating, swimming, hiking, horseback riding, fishing, cross-country skiing, sledding, tennis, nature and recreation programs (year round).
Special Features: Several vantage points on the edge of the gorge offer panoramic views of Blackwater River's spectacular waterfalls. The name blackwater refers to the amber-colored waters, which are a result of tannic acid from fallen hemlock and red spruce needles.
