Bloomsburg

Bloomsburg, industrial town (1990 pop. 12,439), seat of Columbia co., E Pa., on the Susquehanna River; settled 1772, inc. 1870. Textiles, furniture, and greenhouses are manufactured. It is the only incorporated town in the state. Bloomsburg Univ. of Pennsylvania and a transportation museum are there.
