BluesnarfingTo copy address information from a person's Bluetooth phone in the vicinity. The object exchange (OBEX) protocol used in Bluetooth was designed to let users easily send each other business card data without authentication. The devices launched 180 BlueJack attacks and 15 BlueSnarf attacks, both enabling unauthorized users to gain access to the devices for potentially harmful purposes, including downloading address books, email and capturing other corporate information. |
