Bobby Brown State Park Location: 21 miles southeast of Elberton, off GA 72. Facilities: 61 tent/trailer/RV campsites, pioneer campground, 5 yurts, picnic areas, 2 picnic shelters, 1 group shelter, hiking trail (1.9 miles), swimming pool, boat ramp, boat dock, canoe and fishing boat rentals, concessions (seasonal). Activities: Camping, boating, fishing, swimming, hiking. Special Features: Park is located where the old town of Petersburg was situated in the 1790s, where the Broad and Savannah rivers flow into the Clarks Hill Reservoir. The 70,000-acre manmade lake is one of the largest east of the Mississippi.
