Bogdanov, Anatolii Ivanovich 

Born Jan. 1, 1932, in Leningrad. Soviet sports marksman. Honored Master of Sport of. the USSR (1952). Officer in the Soviet Army. Member of the CPSU since 1955.

Bogdanov has been Champion of the USSR several times and champion at the XV Olympic Games (Helsinki, 1952) and the XVI Olympic Games (Melbourne, 1956). He has been Champion of the World (1954) and Europe (1955, 1959) several times. Bogdanov is the first Soviet marksman to become an Olympic champion. He has been awarded the Order of Lenin and medals.
