Location: North and east of Boise. Accessible by US 20; ID 21 and 22. Nearby cities/towns include Boise, Cascade, and Idaho City. Facilities: 14 cabins, 40 campgrounds, dispersed camping, picnic areas, trails (1,300+ miles), winter sports area. Activities: Camping, hunting, fishing, rafting, kayaking, sailing, rafting, water-skiing, hiking, horseback riding, mountain biking, ORV riding, cross-country and downhill skiing, snowmobiling. Special Features: Most of the land lies within the Idaho Batholith, a large and highly erosive geological formation that has created a rugged mountain region, with elevations ranging from 2,600 to 9,800 feet, and numerous lakes and streams.
