Boletus Bovinus
a mushroom of the family Boletaceae. The cap, which measures 5–10 cm in diameter, is smooth, slimy, and yellow-brown. The tubular layer has broad uneven pores that are often radially arranged, which distinguish Boletus bovinus from the other species of Boletus that resemble it. The flesh is resilient and yellowish red. B. bovinus grows in the pine forests of the European USSR and Siberia during the summer and autumn. The mushroom is edible.
