Bolton, Henry Carrington

Bolton, Henry Carrington (1843–1903) chemist, educator, bibliographer; born in New York City. He taught chemistry at Trinity College (1877–87), then retired to pursue his numerous interests, which included the action of organic acids on minerals. He was a founder of the American Folklore Society and he published papers on that subject as well as on alchemy and the history of chemistry.
