bonded warehouse
A warehouse where materials may be stored before their installation on a building project if they are not stored at the job site. The materials are “in bond, ” that is, under the legal control of the project’s owner.

INTERNATIONAL freight forwarder Arends International has officially opened its new 55,000 sq ft offices and bonded warehouse.
The fire started in a bonded warehouse in the city's Cheapside Street that contained over a million gallons of whisky and rum.
The building has been empty for some time and there have been various plans for it, including as a bonded warehouse.
