Bonner, J. T. (John Tyler) (1920– ) developmental biologist; born in New York City. He spent his career at Princeton (1947–90), and remained active there after attaining emeritus status. He published numerous scientific articles on development of the cellular slime molds, served as editor on various scientific journals, and wrote many popular books and articles on morphogenesis and evolution.
