Bonner, Robert

Bonner, Robert (1824–99) newspaper editor; born in Londonderry, Ireland. Emigrating in 1839, he bought the New York Ledger in 1851 and made it prosper, attracting articles from literary giants of the day. He was also a well-known race horse owner.
