We have seen Greyfriars, that lovely link with our mediaeval past, demolished, replaced with what Bonny Prince Charlie would doubtless call a monstrous carbuncle.
In the town''s history section you will see the Bonny Prince Charlie Room, with wood panelling taken from Exeter House where the Prince stayed in 1745.
The injured man had been at the Bonny Prince Charlie pub in East Kilbride, playing snooker with friends, before the accident.
