Boolean determinant [¦bül·ē·ən di′tər·mə·nənt] (mathematics) A function defined on Boolean matrices which depends on the elements of the matrix in a manner analogous to the manner in which an ordinary determinant depends on the elements of an ordinary matrix, with the operation of multiplication replaced by intersection and the operation of addition replaced by union.
