Bor’ba Klassov 

(Class Struggle), a scholarly and popular historical journal. It was published in Moscow from March 1931 until the end of 1936; the editor in chief was first M. N. Pokrovskii and later, B. M. Volin. It dealt primarily with the history of the revolutionary movement in Russia and abroad, with the history of the AU-Union Communist Party (Bolshevik) and of the Communist International, with the events of the October Revolution and the Civil War, and with the history of factories and plants. It included not only articles but also historical documents, memoirs of political figures, information about the work of scholarly institutions, systematic critical bibliographical materials, and illustrations. In 1937 the magazine was renamed Istoricheskii zhurnal.
