Bosna

 

a river in Yugoslavia; right tributary of the Sava River (Danube basin). Length, 308 km; basin area, 10,500 sq km. It rises in the Treskavica massif (Dinaric Highland) and flows through mountains into the Central Danubian Depression. High water is in spring; low water, from July through September. The average water discharge is 142 cu m per sec. The cities of Doboj and Zenica are located along the Bosna.
