Boysen Jensen, Peter
Born Jan. 18, 1883; died Nov. 21, 1959. Danish plant physiologist. Member of the Danish Academy of Sciences. Boysen Jensen graduated from the University of Copenhagen (1907) and then worked there. In 1909 he worked in the laboratories of W. Pfeffer (Leipzig) and the biochemist E. Schulze (Zurich). In 1910, having returned to the university, he defended a doctoral dissertation on sugar conversion during plant respiration. In 1927 he became a professor.
